For more than
14 years MOLD FINISH (MF)
has been dedicated to solve surface engineering and dimensional problems in
various industry fields in its hometown (Monterrey, Mexico) and more
recently in the maquiladora region located Northeast of Mexico.
1989
Guillermo F. Marrufo, a
graduated mechanical engineer with 25 years of experience in the field
of
manufacturing processes founds
Metallizados Electroquímicos
ME and obtains certificate
as
selective brush plater according to
US military standards by Brooktronics Engineering Corp. (BEC)
of
North Hollywood, Ca. Almost
immediately is named exclusive representative for
México and Latin
America of BEC.
At that time the company served in all kinds of industry
fields.
1991 First job in the field of
plastic injection molds. Part for a washing machine.
1993 First job of electroless
nickel. Aluminum water cooled chutes for molten glass.
1994 ME and Surface
Technology, Inc. of Trenton, NJ, close a
deal to represent them in
Mexico. This
includes a thorough theoretical and practical training
program in electroless technologies.
1995 Largest known piece to be
brush plated in Mexico at the time. Drum for a chemical plant 5'Ø x
13'L.
1996 Largest known pieces to
be electroless nickel plated in northern Mexico to date. Rotors for
screw
type gas compressor 1.5 tons each and over 8' long.
1997 ME decides to
focus on the plastic industry field but continues to serve some former
customers.
1997 Largest plastic injection
mold plated with electroless nickel in ME. Mold for main chassis of room
air
conditioner. Over 4 tons including all of its more than 15
pieces.
1998 First chrome plating of a
plastic mold. Transparent hood for refrigerator door.
2000
Our largest brush copper plating. Drum
for printing machine for the world´s largest soft beverage
company 15"Ø
x 55" L.
2000 The company
changes its name to Plating Mexico.
2001
Approval from American and Japanese automotive OEMs to plate and polish
plastic injection molds
for lenses for sound equipment and instrument panel.
2002
First order to totally texture several new molds for refrigerator parts and outdoor apliance.
2003
First automotive mold texture repaired (rear lamp body).
2004 Plating
Mexico changes its name again to Mold Finish, Co. Another change of name
to better
identify our line
of bussiness.
2004 We open
activities in Matamoros, Tamps. Norhteast of Mexico to better serve the
important
maquiladora
industry of the region.
2009
We open activities in Mexico Central Region.
